Authorized commissary patrons as defined by Department of Defense Instruction 1330.17, DoD Commissary Program, include active duty, Guard and Reserve members, military retirees, Medal of Honor recipients, 100 percent disabled veterans, and their authorized family members.
The Department of Defense expanded commissary shopping privileges in the U.S. effective 1 January 2020 as part of the Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act of 2018, included in the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019. This expansion adds to the existing authorized shopper list here.
Access was expanded to include:
- Veterans with any service-connected disability
- Purple Heart recipients
- Former Prisoners of war, and
- Individuals approved and designated as the primary family caregivers of eligible Veterans under the Department of Veterans Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers
- Shopping privileges has been expanded to DoD Civilian Employees at select commissary locations to include the Langley Commissary.

Veterans Welcome!
- Effective January 1, 2020; The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Veterans Health Identification Card, (VHIC) will be the authorized identification for the latest group to receive commissary privileges. There will be two groups that will be identified by a memorandum provided by the Veterans Administration.
- To obtain a VHIC, current VA policy requires veterans to be enrolled in VA health care. To check VA health enrollment eligibility and to enroll: visit a local VA medical facility: call 1-877-222-VETS (8387), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., Eastern time; or apply online here.
- Caregivers eligible solely under this act will receive a letter from the VA that indicates they are the primary family caregiver for a veteran enrolled in the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers.

Deli/Bakery Dept:
Deli/Bakery is now OPEN on Mondays from 1000-1400hrs. Minimum manning only allows for Sandwiches and for sliced Meats and Cheeses.
The Deli/Bakery now offers prepared hot lunch specials on Tues-Sat from 1100hrs to 1300hrs and will be located in the Rotisserie Chicken Warmer in front of the Self Checkout lanes. Varieties include:
Chicken Alfredo, Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Wrap, Chicken Parmesan Grilled Wrap, BBQ Chicken Grilled Wrap.
Hours prior to 1100 and after 1300hrs these prepared meals will be located in the Grab N Go cooler next to the Sushi dept. and in the Sandwich case in the Deli/Bakery dept.

Produce
Special order fruit baskets, fruit trays, and vegetable trays. Fruit baskets and fruit trays need 48 hours' notice. Look in the Produce department for a variety of plants and Forever Roses!
Meat
Your Meat Department has years of experience, if you are not sure what you are looking for, just ask one of our talented cutters about a cut or product, they are willing to assist you with your Meat Department products and dinner suggestions!
Deli/Bakery
Check out our fresh baked goods! We have meat and cheese trays, too. Order that special cake for that special occasion.
Sushi
Sushi has party platters available, come in and see what the Sushi team has to offer!

* Beginning June 16th, we will be open on Mondays from 1100 - 1700. Self-Checkout only. Limited services.
Effective June 30th, we’re eliminating single-use bags. Customers will need to bring their own bags. Reusable bags will be available in store for a small fee. See your store associate for more information.

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE OUR NEW ONLINE SHOPPING & CURBSIDE DELIVERY EXPERIENCE, CLICK2GO!
Access CLICK2GO from your computer/mobile device by logging into your shop.commissaries account. If you don’t already have an account you can register on the login page. $4.95 service fee has been waived until further notice. There is no minimum order size or minimum dollar amount required. Orders can be placed 24 hours a day, up to six days in advance of the desired pickup date. There is a minimum three hour lead-time from the time the order is submitted to the time of curbside pickup. For example, an order submitted at 8am can be picked up the same day as early as 11am. Orders placed after 11am will default to the next available pickup time.
Military Star Card
Military Star Card now accepted! Commissaries are accepting the Military Star Card as a form of payment. Customers can earn two points for every dollar when they use their Military Star card to purchase their groceries at the Commissary.
