Your commissary is the simple solution to help you recover from the holidays and stick with it until the next holiday season. That’s the message from Deborah Harris, the Defense Commissary Agency’s dietitian and health and wellness program manager. Mobile app gives shoppers convenient access to Commissary CLICK2GO, sales flyer, recipes and more
Customers can also further their commissary savings through the new and improved Your Everyday Savings (YES!) Program. YES! offers extra savings and value on products customers buy most. Look for the orange YES! label on store shelves.
DeCA’s “Thinking Outside the Box” (TOTB) recipe for the period is Quick & Hearty Turkey Kielbasa Soup. Thinking Outside the Box recipes are dietitian-approved, offering quick and economical solutions for home-cooked meals. Customers can save even more on the items listed in these recipes.
More opportunities to save are available through the Pathway to Savings – “Instant Savings and Buy One, Get One (BOGO) Free” deals and Commissary Rewards Card digital coupons. Customers can save over $65 through these deals. Many more digital coupons are available at https://shop.commissaries.com/digital-coupons. Pathway to Savings “BOGO Free” is not available at overseas stores; however, overseas customers can still enjoy instant savings by visiting their stores for specific selection and pricing.
DeCA has made shopping even easier with its Commissary CLICK2GO mobile app. Customers can access DeCA’s Commissary CLICK2GO online payment, curbside pickup, digital coupons, the sales flyer, dietitian-approved recipes and much more. The mobile app is free for download through the Google Play and IOS app stores.

- Commissary Store Brands. DeCA’s private label inventory of Commissary Store Brands includes an assortment of items spanning the entire store to include Freedom’s Choice food, HomeBase non-food, TopCare health and beauty, Full Circle Market natural and organic food, Wide Awake ready-to-drink coffee products, Tippy Toes baby products, Flock’s Finest wild bird food and Pure Harmony pet food.
- Dietitian-Approved Fueling Stations. The commissaries’ grab-n-go Dietitian-Approved Fueling Stations are a great alternative to the drive-thru or can be used as a quick way to stock office and barrack fridges with quick, on-the-go, snacks and meals. These stations are full of dietitian-approved snacks and meals that are nutritious and high-performance foods. They’re conveniently located near the registers in select stores. - “Box Tops for Education.” General Mills is offering customers an opportunity to save money while supporting their local schools through the “Box Tops for Education” promotion. See store displays and high-value coupons for participating General Mills brands. This campaign is ongoing throughout the year.
- “Military Cat Club.” The club offers high-value coupons only valid at the commissary, and includes welcome gifts, sweepstakes opportunities, pet tips and articles. Enter online at https://MilitaryCatClub.com and complete the designated entry form to enter the sweepstakes. During May, there will be six winners drawn and each winner will receive a cat scratching post, approximate value $50.

- What are Commissary CLICK2GO’s operating hours?
- Monday – Wednesday – Friday, 10 am / 2 pm
- Tuesday – Thursday, 10 am / 4 pm
- Orders can be placed 24 hours a day, up to six days in advance of the desired pickup date
- How soon can I pick up my order?
- There is a minimum six-hour lead-time from the time the order is submitted to the time of curbside pickup. Cut off is 2359 the night prior for pick up the following day.
- What happens if I am going to be late?
- If you are running late or will be unable to pick up your order altogether, contact your CLICK2GO commissary via email or phone. That information is located on your confirmation email. The store will accommodate your schedule.
- Should I tip the person handling my order when I pick up my groceries?
- No, Commissary CLICK2GO employees are not allowed to accept tips.
- How do I cancel my Commissary CLICK2GO order?

You can cancel an order up to 4.5 hours prior to your reserved pickup time
- Log into shop.commissaries account
- Select “My Account” then select “My Orders”
- Select the order you want to cancel then scroll down and click "Cancel Order"
- Select “Yes” to continue
- How Do I add notes to my order?
- To input notes for specific substitution requests or to add additional comments please select the grocery cart in the top right corner of the screen
- Scroll down and select “View Full List”
- From the drop-down arrow, select your substitution preference and provide any additional instructions in the “Add Notes” section
- How does Commissary CLICK2GO substitute out of stock items?
- You are able to make substitutions for all items or individual items in your order. You are also able to make specific substitution requests by adding notes to your order.
- We will substitute a like item in the closest size and price of the actual item ordered.
- If you do not approve of the substituted item it can be deleted from your order at curbside.
- Most items sold in the commissary are available on CLICK2GO. If you know an item is sold in the store, but cannot find it on the website, ask for it in the comments box. And if that item is available we will add it to you order.
- Does Commissary CLICK2GO accept coupons?
- Yes, digital coupons on the DeCA Rewards Card. Paper coupons are not accepted at this time.
- For Rewards Card coupons to be applied to your order please clip the coupon before you add that desired item to your basket.
- Please add your Rewards Card number in the notes section
- How do I return an item?
- Per our return policy, returns must be handled inside the commissary at customer service.

Commissaries begin phasing out single-use shopping bags:
- Having begun with Guam stores March 15, 2024, moving to Hawaii's commissaries April 30, the initiative comes to continental U.S. stores in California and Washington State this summer (June 30th). Customers are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags from home or purchase reusable or hot/cold bags from the selection available at each store. DeCA will post signs with more details at the Hickam Air Force Base, Pearl Harbor, Kaneohe Bay and Schofield Barracks commissaries to keep patrons informed.
- DeCA remains dedicated to environmental stewardship, reducing its ecological footprint and complying with applicable environmental laws and regulations. DeCA’s approach to eliminating non-reusable bags in all 4 Hawaii commissaries takes into account its patrons’ needs, as well as various contractual, fiscal, statutory and operational requirements.
- Elimination of single-use bags will be a major shift in commissary patron shopping habits and DeCA will address potential concerns during the transition process. DeCA will also provide additional resources toward education and awareness to ease the transition.

Authorized Patrons:
Authorized commissary patrons as defined by Department of Defense Instruction 1330.17, DoD Commissary Program, include active duty, Guard and Reserve members, military retirees, Medal of Honor recipients, 100 percent disabled veterans, and their authorized family members. Veterans with a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) documented service-connected disability rating became eligible for commissary shopping beginning January 1, 2020.
Pet Policy:
Please ensure that all pets entering the commissary are registered service animals. Only service animals are allowed in the building.

Expanded Patronage:
1.Protective Services Civilian Employees; an individual employed as a protective services civilian employee at a military installation may be permitted to purchase food and hygiene items at a commissary store located on that military installation.
2. These positions included: Security Administration (GS-0080), Fire Protection and Prevention (GS-0081), Police (GS-0083), Security Guard (GS-0085),
Emergency Management (GS-0089)
3. Only the individual employee has shopping privileges, not dependents and/or family members.
4. There are no other unique limitations on when they shop or what they buy other than alcohol / tobacco products.
Starting Jan. 1, 2020 all service-connected disabled veterans, Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war and primary veteran caregivers will be eligible to shop at commissaries worldwide. Guest Rules
Guest information - ID card scanning is in effect at all commissaries worldwide 100% ID check conducted at central checkouts. Visitors may accompany authorized patrons into the commissary; however, the installation commander has the authority to restrict visitors from entering installation facilities. Only authorized patrons are allowed to make purchases. When you present your ID card at the register, the cashier must conduct visual verification to confirm that you are the cardholder by looking at the photograph on your card. In addition, DoD Instruction 1330.17 grants installation commanders the discretion to institute 100% ID checks at commissary entrances for security purposes. The Department of Defense expanded commissary shopping privileges in the U.S. effective 1 January 2020 as part of the Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act of 2018, included in the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019. This expansion adds to the existing authorized shopper list here.
Access was expanded to include:
- Veterans with any service-connected disability
- Purple Heart recipients
- Former Prisoners of war, and
- Individuals approved and designated as the primary family caregivers of eligible Veterans under the Department of Veterans Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers
Protective services civilian employees who are in a position of the following series of the General Schedule are able to shop at the commissary in accordance with Title 10 USC 1066, eligibility of Protective Services Civilian Employees. Only the individual employee may shop not dependents and/or family members.

Authorized shoppers can now order custom subs, wraps, paninis and a wide variety of deli meats, cheeses, salads and party trays from the Little Creek Commissary Deli/Bakery using the new deli ordering app.
Commissary patrons can download this FREE app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Within the App, patrons will find a picture driven interface where they will be able to quickly go through the ordering process. As patrons move from screen to screen, they will be able to customize their order: from the amount of meat and cheese, to how it is sliced, to the toppings on your custom sandwich. Just follow the on-screen prompts.
With a few clicks of a button, patrons will be able to submit an order directly to the deli/bakery! The app even allows for patrons to order ahead and schedule a day and time for pickup. Give the gift of groceries! Commissary gift cards are available for purchase both online and in-person via the Customer Service Desk, in increments ranging from $5.00 to $300.00 per card. More Ways to Save - Military Star Card
Commissaries are accepting the Military Star Card as a form of payment. Customers can earn two points for every dollar when they use their Military Star Card to purchase their groceries at the commissary.
Patrons using Commissary CLICK2GO, the Defense Commissary Agency’s online shopping and curbside pickup service, can now use the MILITARY STAR card to purchase their groceries through the website. San Diego Commissary now has food donation bags for sale at $15.00 each. Each bag purchased and donated helps a local family in need via partnership with organizations including Veterans Village of San Diego, Chula Vista VFW and El Centro VFW, and the USO San Diego.
