- SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MILITARY CHILDREN
Applications have now opened for Fisher House Foundation’s Scholarships for Military Children program for academic year 2024 – 2025. Fisher House Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping service members, veterans and their families, administers the program. For scholarship year 2024-25, Fisher House Foundation will award 500 scholarship grants of $2,000 each. The selection process will begin immediately following the application deadline of Feb. 14, at 11:59 p.m. PST. San Diego Commissary now has Feeds Families bags for sale $15.00 each - The bags that are purchased and donated help local families in need. Military commissaries will remain open worldwide for a limited amount of time during a potential lapse in appropriation, the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) announced. In the event of a lapse in appropriation, commissaries will continue full operation of commissaries for a period of up to 60 days or until all DeCA defense working capital funds cash are exhausted.
Our operating status would be subject to change depending on the length of a lapse in appropriation or until our current funding is exhausted.
We are committed to doing everything possible to minimize the impact of any budget decisions on our patrons.

Holiday Hours:
The Buckley SFB Commissary is open 362 days per year for your convenience. We are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. The Commissary will operate 0900-1700 as posted below during 2025 holidays.

Service Connected Disabled Veterans Entering Buckley For the First Time
Veterans with a service-connected disability have privileges to shop at the Commissary and Exchange system. Veterans entering the installation for the first time will need to register their VA card at the Visitor Center located next to the Mississippi Gate entrance Monday - Friday 0700-1500. This is a onetime requirement. VA Cards MUST say "Service Connected" underneath your photo. VA card holders do not have installation sponsorship privileges and will be unable to bring unauthorized individuals with them. For more information on disabled veteran privileges click here or check with your local VA office. For questions on installation access please call the Visitor Center at 720-847-9381.

Click 2 Go provides DeCA Commissary Patrons with an option to order groceries electronically and pick them up at a later time. Please log onto www.commissaries.com where you will be to find more information and savings you deserve.

Guest may enter the commissary only when accompanied by an authorized patron. To protect the commissary benefit, ID cards will be verified upon checkout. Only the ID cardholder is allowed to shop.
DoD Civilians
DoD civilians are NOT authorized to shop at any commissary. This is the most updated information as of May 5, 2021.
Veterans
As of January 1, 2020 the Department of Defense is proud to expand commissary privileges to Veterans awarded a Purple Heart, Veterans who are former Prisoners of War, All Veterans with a Service-Connected Disability and Individuals assessed, approved, and designated as the primary family caregiver of eligible veterans under the Department of Veteran Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers.

One week notice required for special orders involving large quantities of food. Stop by our administrative office to ask about special ordering.
Do you have a special family event coming up?
Swing by our Produce Department for fresh fruit and veggie platters and our Deli Department for meat and cheese or sandwich platters!
Please allow at least 72 hours in advance to place your order in person. You must pre-pay for your Produce / Deli-Bakery special orders and then pick them up on the scheduled day.
If you are wanting a special cake for the important day, please come by our Bakery department at least one week prior and talk with our talented professionals. You must pre-pay for all special cake orders and pick up the scheduled day.
You may also place special orders in our meat department. Please give us at least 72 hours for most meat orders and large meat orders may require up to 10 days. If you are wanting a whole pig, that is no problem, however we will require 10 days advance notice.
