Limited Service on Mondays
Your Fairchild Commissary is now open 7 days a week. We are open on Mondays from 1100 to1700 with limited operations. Self-Check Out registers will be the Commissaries primary register to check out our patrons and deli/bakery/custom meat orders will be very limited. As opposed to being closed it made sense to open the commissary for patrons to pick up items they need as opposed to having go somewhere else.

Expanded Privilege
Starting January 1, 2020 all SERVICE-CONNECTED DISABLED VETERANS, Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war and primary veteran caregivers will be eligible to shop at commissaries worldwide. For more information on this new program, go to www.militaryonesource.mil/expanding-access, or to determine eligibility, visit a local VA medical facility; call 1-877-222-VETS (8387), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., or apply online at VA.gov.
COVID Information
The Fairchild Commissary is currently in LOW (green) status. Masks are NOT currently required by all visitors regardless of vaccination status. Please continue to practice social distancing. Patrons are able to bring and use re-usable shopping bags. Limits will remain on certain items until supply chains regain consumer demand fulfillments. Store hours and entrance policies are subject to change per guidance from installation in partnership with Defense Commissary Agency.
Military Star Card
Commissaries are accepting the Military Star Card as a form of payment. Customers can earn two points for every dollar when they use their Military Star card to purchase their groceries at the Commissary. PRICING PRACTICES' AT THE FAIRCHILD COMMISSARY:
The Commissary is an Appropriated Funds facility; it is a not-for-profit entity unlike retailers outside the gate or even the BX. Goods are procured and purchased by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) with DOD Appropriated Funds for resale to patrons.
While our customers can be assured that they are provided with the best overall prices in their shopping trips to our commissaries, when it comes to individual items each retailer may have a different cost from their suppliers. If we find that our cost does not allow us to be priced as competitively as we should be, or provide the savings we are committed to provide, our category teams will work diligently with our suppliers to negotiate the best cost possible. This might include running great promotions with deeply discounted prices. However, from time to time we may need to be priced slightly higher than a commercial store. At DeCA we are committed to provide the best overall savings to our customers that we can!
Patrons purchase products at cost + surcharge. Price changes are processed twice a month, on the 1st and 16th of each month. Surcharge is applied to the total value of each commissary purchase because the Congress has mandated collection of surcharge (currently 5 percent) to pay for commissary construction, equipment and maintenance. All surcharge dollars collected are returned to commissary patrons in the form of continually improved commissary facilities. The amount of surcharge applied to a commissary sale transaction is shown as "SCG" on your sales receipt.
“Give the Gift of Commissary Groceries.”
Commissary Gift Cards can be purchased online and inside the commissary at the customer service desk. Anyone can purchase these gift cards, but the recipients must be an authorized patron. You can select an “open value” card from as little as $5 to as much as $300 per card.

Be sure to plan ahead to allow for shipment lead times on your favorite holiday products. Some restrictions may apply at overseas commissaries. Contact your store for specific availability.

ID card scanning is in effect at all commissaries worldwide 100% ID check conducted at central checkouts. Visitors may accompany authorized patrons into the commissary: however, the installation commander has the authority to restrict visitors from entering installation facilities. Only authorized patrons are allowed to make purchases. When you present your ID card at the register, the cashier must conduct visual verification to confirm that you are the cardholder by looking at the photograph on your card. Because these are separate requirements, your card must be shown and scanned at the register, even if it was also shown at the entrance: we regret any inconvenience this may cause you.
If you plan to enter the installation with someone who does not have a valid base access credential (ie. DoD identification card, DBIDS card, or visitor pass) please stop at the visitor control center to get them a pass prior to entering the gate.

Customers can now download a mobile app to access the Defense Commissary Agency’s (DeCA) website programs such as Commissary CLICK2GO online payment and curbside pickup, digital coupons, the sales flyer, dietitian-approved recipes and much more. Available free for download via the Google Play and Apple app stores for Android and Apple devices respectively, the mobile app gives commissary shoppers access to a variety of DeCA’s online functions on their smart phones and tablets.
Commissary CLICK2GO customers can now use MILITARY STAR cards for their online purchases! Patrons using Commissary CLICK2GO, the Defense Commissary Agency’s online shopping and curbside pickup service, can now use the MILITARY STAR card to purchase their groceries through the website.
Use your sales flyer. The DeCA sales flyer offers customers many ways to save at their commissary. Take advantage of the Savvy Shopper Super Saver deals both in the store and online, Rewards Card digital coupons, Pathway to Savings instant rewards card savings, and BOGO deals, all featured in the sales flyer. DeCA recently expanded its sales flyer to overseas military families in the European and Pacific regions. Customers can now plan their next shopping trip or Commissary Click2Go order by accessing the sales flyer link and selecting the region of their choice.
Take advantage of the Your Every Day Savings (YES!) Program. Commissaries are also bringing even more savings for customers through the new and improved Your Everyday Savings (YES!) Program. YES! offers extra savings and value on the products customers buy the most such as milk, eggs, butter, ground beef, baby products and more. Just look for the orange YES! shelf label.

Load commissary coupons onto your Commissary Rewards Card before you shop. Don’t have a rewards card yet? Pick one up at your local commissary and register it online at the DeCA website.
Save time and money with the Commissary Rewards Card! Manufacturers have provided coupons for our customers to help make the most of your benefit.
Simply create an account on the shop.commissaries.com website. Patrons with a Rewards Card previously registered online are not required to set up a customer account and re-register their card through the new customer portal. These customers can log in to the new site using their existing account information.
Once you have registered your Rewards Card you can view and clip digital coupons on the CLICK2GO website at shop.commissaries.com.
How to Clip Coupons:
1. Visit shop.commissaries.com. If you have not had an account on shop.commissaries.com or MyCommissary you will need to create an account. Patrons who previously used my.commissaries.com can log in using their existing account information.
2. Click on "Coupons" under the "Savings" menu item.

Commissary CLICK2GO, the Defense Commissary Agency’s new online ordering:
“This service really speaks to the needs of our customers who can now plan, order and pay for their purchases on-line and then just drive to the store to get them without having to get out of their vehicle,” said (store director’s last name).
Here’s a brief rundown of Commissary CLICK2GO’s features:

In step with grocery shopping trends, DeCA is working to bring on-line ordering, payment and pick-up options to all commissary-eligible patrons. In early June the agency announced plans to expand Commissary CLICK2GO to all 236 commissaries worldwide, and the rollout status can be found on the agency’s web site.

After products are selected, the shopper selects a pickup time and pays for their order. At their appointed time they park in designated parking spaces where commissary workers bring their groceries. The commissary CLICK2GO will begin accepting internet orders on August 2 for August 4 pickups.
Scholarships for Military Children:
- Fisher House Foundation’s Scholarships for Military Children program is accepting applications for the 2026–2027 academic year, now through Feb. 11. The program, entering its 26th year, recognizes the contributions of military families to the readiness of America’s fighting force and celebrates the commissary’s role in enhancing military quality of life.
- For the 2026–2027 academic year, 500 scholarships valued at $2,000 each will be awarded. At least one recipient will be selected at each commissary location where qualified applications are received. Additional awards are allocated on a prorated basis, meaning commissaries with larger applicant pools can have more than one recipient. The selection process begins immediately following the deadline.
- Who can apply?
- The Scholarships for Military Children program is open to unmarried military dependent children under the age of 23 who possess a valid Uniformed Services Identification (USID) card. They must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program leading to a bachelor’s degree or a community/junior college designed to allow for a direct transfer into a four-year program.
- In addition, a student’s parent(s) or sponsor(s) must be one of the following: active duty, reserve/guard, deceased, or retired from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Space Force. Applicants or sponsors do not need to live at an installation with a commissary – simply select the commissary where you shop or the one nearest to you.
- How to apply
- The Scholarships for Military Children Program requires that the student complete the application themselves and attest to that when submitting it. Applicants must perform the following steps:
- Create an account through https://fisherhouse.org/programs/scholarship-programs/scholarships-for-military-children/ that you can return to later.
- Complete all tabs of the form – a green checkmark indicates completion.
- Write a short, 500-word essay – the essay topic is available to applicants atthe scholarships-for-military children application page.
- Submit transcripts: High school applicants – transcript indicating a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale (unweighted). Current college applicants – transcript indicating a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale (unweighted).
- Validate your eligibility as a military dependent by entering the benefits number found on the reverse of the Uniformed Services Identification (USID) card. If you qualify for an ID card but do not have one you should immediately schedule a visit to a military personnel office and bring proper documentation.
- Applicants who are awarded a full scholarship to attend a college or university or who receives an appointment to one of the service academies or affiliated preparatory schools are not eligible to receive funds from this program. A full scholarship is usually defined as one that provides for payment of tuition, books, lab fees and other expenses.
- All rules and requirements for the Scholarships for Military Children program, as well as links to frequently asked questions are available at militaryscholar.org.
- Fisher House Foundation also has a free, easy-to-use custom scholarship search engine tailored to military families called “Scholarships for Service,” available at militaryscholar.org.
- The Scholarships for Military Children program is managed by Scholarship Managers, a national, nonprofit organization. - No government funds are used to support the Scholarships for Military Children Program.

- You are able to make substitutions for all items or individual items in your order. You are also able to make specific substitution requests by adding notes to your order.
- We will substitute a like item in the closest size and price of the actual item ordered.
- If you do not approve of the substituted item it can be deleted from your order at curbside.
- Most items sold in the commissary are available on CLICK2GO. If you know an item is sold in the store, but cannot find it on the website, ask for it in the comments box. And if that item is available we will add it to you order.
- Does Commissary CLICK2GO accept coupons?
- Yes, digital coupons on the DeCA Rewards Card. Paper coupons are not accepted at this time.

How long does it take a store to restock its shelves based on product availability?
Stores can restock overnight if the products are available in the CDCs and state-side storage facilities. We are monitoring our items sales daily and fully prepared to ship product if quantities run low prior to the next scheduled shipment.
How is the Commissary addressing replenishing stock?
The commissary management assures patrons shelves will continue to be stocked and product availability will be maintained and secured. Deliveries have been increased to the store to ensure product availability, particularly on items that are in high demand such as disinfectant wipes and toilet paper. From a product availability standpoint, the commissary is continually working with industry suppliers and installation senior leadership to support the needs of the Fort Campbell community.
How are we protecting Commissary customers and employees?
In addition to requiring face coverings for employees and customers, commissaries have implemented the following operational policies to help make stores safer during this pandemic:
- We installed clear, acrylic sneeze shields in all regular checkout lanes to add extra protection for customers and employees.
- Commissary personnel are wiping down with sanitizing solution checkout stand areas, product display glass cases and handles and shopping carts. Employees are practicing routine hand washing and other basic sanitation measures to reduce transmission risk.
- Hand sanitizer is provided at each register and staff are encouraged to use it at the end of each patron transaction.
- DeCA encourages its employees to closely monitor their health, and asks them to stay home if they, or someone in their household, are sick.
- We have implemented, in unison with the installation, procedures regarding social distancing.
- Cashiers no longer handle patron ID cards. Instead, customers will be asked to scan their own ID or cashiers can use the handheld scanner if available to scan bar code on IDs.
- We encourage the use of credit or debit transactions to limit the use of cash and coins.
- We work closely with local the public health assets on the installation to monitor transmission risk related to staff and patrons.
- Commissaries have temporarily suspended the requirement to sign credit card receipts to prevent multi patron handling of the credit card reader pen.
As of January 1, 2020 the Department of Defense is proud to expand commissary privileges to:
- Veterans awarded a Purple Heart
- Veterans who are former prisoners of war
- All veterans with a service-connected disability
- Individuals assessed, approved, and designated as the primary family caregiver of eligible veterans under the Department of Veteran Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers.
Required Documentation: Veterans will need a Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC) that displays "Purple Heart", "Former POW", or "Service Connected" below the photo on the front of the card for installation and benefit access. To obtain a VHIC card: https://www.va.gov/healthbenefits/vhic/
