On Nov. 10, the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) will salute the U.S. Marine Corps on the 248th anniversary of its establishment by the Continental Congress in 1775. Throughout its history, the commissary benefit has gained the admiration and gratitude of Marines and their families, said Navy Command Master Chief Mario S. Rivers, senior enlisted advisor to the DeCA director.

FIGHTING FOOD INSECURITY: DOD, DeCA set new records in 2023 for Feds Feed Families donation campaign
DOD contributed 5.9 million, or 59 percent of 10 million pounds collected for the Fed Feeds Families campaign, an increase of more than 26 percent from 2022. The Defense Commissary Agency’s share of DOD’s 5.9 million was 4.1 million pounds, or 69 percent, an increase of more than 28 percent from last year.
