COMMISSARIES REMAIN OPEN DURING A LAPSE IN APPROPRIATION. Military commissaries will remain open worldwide for a limited amount of time during a lapse in appropriation. Commissaries will continue full operation for a period of up to 60 days or until all DeCA defense working capital funds are exhausted. This section will be updated in the event Commissaries are required to shut down.
Holiday Hours:
The Buckley SFB Commissary is open 362 days per year for your convenience. We are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. The Commissary will operate 0900-1700 as posted below during 2025 holidays.

Service Connected Disabled Veterans Entering Buckley For the First Time
Veterans with a service-connected disability have privileges to shop at the Commissary and Exchange system. Veterans entering the installation for the first time will need to register their VA card at the Visitor Center located next to the Mississippi Gate entrance Monday - Friday 0700-1500. This is a onetime requirement. VA Cards MUST say "Service Connected" underneath your photo. VA card holders do not have installation sponsorship privileges and will be unable to bring unauthorized individuals with them. For more information on disabled veteran privileges click here or check with your local VA office. For questions on installation access please call the Visitor Center at 720-847-9381.

Do you have a special family event coming up?
Swing by our Produce Department for fresh fruit and veggie platters and our Deli Department for meat and cheese or sandwich platters!
Please allow at least 72 hours in advance to place your order in person. You must pre-pay for your Produce / Deli-Bakery special orders and then pick them up on the scheduled day.
If you are wanting a special cake for the important day, please come by our Bakery department at least one week prior and talk with our talented professionals. You must pre-pay for all special cake orders and pick up the scheduled day.
You may also place special orders in our meat department. Please give us at least 72 hours for most meat orders and large meat orders may require up to 10 days. If you are wanting a whole pig, that is no problem, however we will require 10 days advance notice.

Eligible patrons now can use their MILITARY STAR card through Nov. 30 to make interest-free commissary purchases with no payments for three months. The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) announced the November extension in a news release distributed today. AAFES originally announced this promotion Oct. 6 for purchases made through the end of October.
Existing and new MIITARY STAR card holders can take advantage of this limited-time offer designed to help provide some financial relief during the ongoing lapse in government appropriations.

McConnell Air Force Base Commissary is now a 7-day operating facility - as part of the Defense Commissary Seven Day pilot program.
MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kansas – The McConnell Air Force Base Commissary is pleased to announce the store will be open seven days a week starting June 6.
The new Monday opening is part of a Defense Commissary Agency pilot program and will offer full services, from 1000hrs to 1800hrs with items such as:
- Self-checkout registers and Cashier
- Full meat market operations to serve you
- Deli/bakery will be open along with having Pre-made sandwiches, salads (ie. grab and go) will be available
The commissary is determined to provide exceptional service, therefore we have extended our opening days to 7 days a week, for your convenience.
“The commissary benefit is a significant boost to military quality of life, and we are exploring various ways like seven-day shopping to help our customers maximize it.”

Are there specific items that you utilized on a frequent bases or in large quantities - Did you know you can place a special order for these items?
Special orders are easy to do and are accepted by all staff members.
On your next visit speak with one of our trusted staff members and they will gladly help you submit your special order request. We do require a 48 hours notice to allow us time to acquire the selected items from our distributor.
