McConnell Air Force Base Commissary is now a 7-day operating facility - as part of the Defense Commissary Seven Day pilot program.
MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kansas – The McConnell Air Force Base Commissary is pleased to announce the store will be open seven days a week starting June 6.
The new Monday opening is part of a Defense Commissary Agency pilot program and will offer full services, from 1000hrs to 1800hrs with items such as:
- Self-checkout registers and Cashier
- Full meat market operations to serve you
- Deli/bakery will be open along with having Pre-made sandwiches, salads (ie. grab and go) will be available
The commissary is determined to provide exceptional service, therefore we have extended our opening days to 7 days a week, for your convenience.
“The commissary benefit is a significant boost to military quality of life, and we are exploring various ways like seven-day shopping to help our customers maximize it.”

Commissary Store Brands
Three store brands are now available in the commissary. The three brands are Freedom's Choice for food products, Home Base for nonfood items, and Top Care for first aid supplies, vitamins, over the counter medications, and beauty care. Store brands are a high-quality, low-cost alternative to national brands.
Coupon Crusaders
Your Chinhae Commissary would like to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has taken the time to clip and send coupons to the commissary. Our military members greatly appreciate your support helping them stretch their hard-earned dollars every month. As soon as we receive the coupons, our staff makes every effort to sort them and get them on the products. This new effort to actually place the coupons directly on the product is a big hit in all of our commissaries. It certainly makes saving easier. People helping people. Customer service at its finest. Coupons are good for an additional 6 months after their expiration date overseas only.

To place a special order please inquire with our friendly commissary employees for details. Please give us 72 hours notice on all special orders. Deliveries are received every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Camp Walker/Daegu, Camp Humphrey Dry CDC and Osan Chill/ Freeze CDC.
Planning a party and can't find something in your commissary, do you see product at another commissary? Placing a special order will be the perfect idea! Due to our ever-changing unique clientele, Chinhae does carry a unique assortment, as well, but if you are unable to locate an item you previously purchased at one of our neighboring commissary stores...special ordering is the way to go to get your item delivered to the Chinhae Commissary!!!

Commissaries announce operational policies amid COVID-19 outbreak.
1) Commissary cashiers no longer handle patron ID cards.
These policies include the following actions:
- Effective immediately, a 100-percent ID card check at all commissaries, so that only authorized customers will be able to shop. Children under 10 with their parents don’t have to have an ID card.
- Effective March 15, to prevent customer-to-customer spread of germs, commissary cashiers no longer handle patron ID cards. Instead, customers will be asked to scan their own ID. Cashiers can use the handheld scanner if available or have the customer scan their own card.
- In a move to lessen panic-buying, the agency instructed its store directors worldwide to use their discretion in placing the shopping limits necessary to help maintain stock availability.
2) Shopping limits may be imposed on items deemed necessary by each individual Commissary Officer

In a hurry? Stop by the Grab-N-Go case. Come and grab some sushi or one of our ready-to-eat sandwiches packed with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and mustard. Cold drinks are available beside the case as well. We have a great variety of fruit. Grab one of our convenient containers to go or order a fruit tray. Pineapples, grapes, watermelon, strawberries, and other fruits are healthy snack choices.

We can make anything from vegetable trays, fruit trays or fruit baskets for any occasion.
Meat
Need a special cut of meat? If you would like a special cut of meat from standard cut steaks to thick cut steaks to specific roasts. Depending on the order, more notice may be required. Contact the store for more information.
Bakery
The Bakery Department can make that special cake, cupcakes and pastries for your special occasions.
Deli
The Deli Department can make sandwiches, meat & cheese trays, sushi rolls and sushi party trays.

We’ll keep serving the “Soup of the Day” made out of fresh and natural products, which is already a success of sales, mostly in a community like ours with no habits of soup consumption. When we started, back in January, I would say that less of 5% of the actual Community weren’t soup consumers and now, it has grown up to 25 to 30%.
