Coming to Saudi Arabia
If you are one of the individuals or someone who may be accompanied. It is important that you know what to expect at your local commissary here in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.
We are very small and limited but we do carry the common items you would find in a commissary back home. One important thing to point out--due to the restrictions and limitations on who can accompanied the sponsor. We do not carry baby food, or baby supplies. You can be purchased such items on the local economy.
We normally receive food shipments every month by cargo ship from DeCA Europe in Germany. We carry your common non-food items such as paper products and detergents, charcoal and lighter fluid. A good selection of dry and frozen food items. Special orders can take up to 120 days to arrive when first ordered.
A very important fact: All items coming to Saudi Arabia must go through Saudi Customs to include our US Mail. So if your planning to have items sent to you by mail please make sure that what you want is allowed to come into Saudi Arabia. An example of what can not be mailed to Saudi Arabia is pork or pork products, anything to do with alcohol or the making of such is strictly prohibited. Your local post office can help you obtain a list of items restricted.

In accordance with the 1977 Accord the following are who can and cannot shop at the Riyadh Commissary. All questions and concerns should be directed to Chief USMTM.
Shopping Privileges at the Riyadh Commissary are authorized for the following personnel:
- US Military members and GS Civilian employees assigned to USMTM, US Embassy and consulates Personnel and USMTM Mission partners who have a valid support agreement to cost share.
- Third country nationals assigned to USMTM (National Transportation Agreement Employees)
- Local Hire personnel assigned to USMTM
Individual Not Authorized to shop at the Commissary:
- Reservists, not on orders to USMTM
- All Contractors (per 77 Accord)
- NO retirees (all shoppers must be authorized USMTM personnel or Mission Partners who have valid support agreement to cost share)

Even more savings at your commissaries
DOD’s “Taking Care of Service Members and Families” initiative will allow us to reduce commissary prices at the register about 3-5 percent on most items – particularly on food staples that struggling military families need most such as bread, eggs, milk and more,” said Bill Moore, director and CEO of the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). “With this boost we can achieve at least 25 percent in overall savings for eligible patrons who shop their commissaries.”
Commissary customers are expected to see price changes at most locations by mid-October.
“The commissary system’s commitment to saving military communities money has not wavered for over 30 years,” Moore said. “We remain steadfast in our efforts to improve the quality of life of our eligible patrons by saving them at least a quarter on every dollar they spend on groceries compared to ‘outside the gate’ grocery stores. That’s $50 back in your pocket on a $200 grocery bill! “We are a food security resource for our customers, and as such, we are doing everything we can to get our precious military families the products they need – at the lowest price possible.”

Pricing Practices at "Your Fort Huachuca Commissary":
The Commissary is an Appropriated Funds facility; it is a not-for-profit entity unlike retailers outside the gate or even the PX. Goods are procured and purchased by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) with DOD Appropriated Funds for resale to patrons.
While our customers can be assured that they are provided with the best overall prices in their shopping trips to our commissaries, when it comes to individual items each retailer may have a different cost from their suppliers. If we find that our cost does not allow us to be priced as competitively as we should be, or provide the savings we are committed to provide, our category teams will work diligently with our suppliers to negotiate the best cost possible. This might include running great promotions with deeply discounted prices. However, from time to time we may need to be priced slightly higher than a commercial store. At DeCA we are committed to provide the best overall savings to our customers that we can!
Patrons purchase products at cost + surcharge. Price changes are processed twice a month, on the 1st and 16th of each month. Surcharge is applied to the total value of each commissary purchase because Congress has mandated collection of surcharge (currently 5 percent) to pay for commissary construction, equipment and maintenance. All surcharge dollars collected are returned to commissary patrons in the form of continually improved commissary facilities. The amount of surcharge applied to a commissary sale transaction is shown as "SCG" on your sales receipt.

Please call or stop by so we can do a Special Order for you, so we do not deplete the shelves of the items for other patrons. As we are a Remote & Isolated base, some of the items are on restriction or allocation--which means we only get a specific amount for the shelves. If we can do a special order for you, this help maintain the shelves for the community and allows for your commissary to be able to provide for you large requests as well.

Defense Commissary Agency
Starting April 6, commissaries will start charging a nominal price for each single-use paper or plastic bag. This change will allow the Defense Commissary Agency to continue to offer its eligible patrons significant savings while strengthening its fiscal stewardship and reducing operating expenses.Patrons submitting Commissary CLICK2GO® curbside or delivery orders will be given the option to purchase bags when checking out.
DeCA also encourages patrons to bring their own bags from home or purchase reusable bags from in-store or Commissary CLICK2GO® assortments. For more information, please visit https://shop.commissaries.com/bags.
This change will allow the Defense Commissary Agency to continue to offer its eligible patrons significant savings while strengthening our fiscal stewardship.

Orders can be placed 24 hours a day, up to six days in advance of the desired pickup date.
- How soon can I pick up my order?
There is a minimum three-hour lead-time from the time the order is submitted to the time of curbside pickup.
- What happens if I am going to be late?
If you are running late or will be unable to pick up your order altogether, contact your CLICK2GO commissary via email or phone. That information is located on your confirmation email. The store will accommodate your schedule.
- Should I tip the person handling my order when I pick up my groceries?
No, Commissary CLICK2GO employees are not allowed to accept tips.
- How do I cancel my Commissary CLICK2GO order?
You can cancel an order up to 4.5 hours prior to your reserved pickup time.

- Select “My Account” then select “My Orders.”
- Select the order you want to cancel then scroll down and click "Cancel Order."
- Select “Yes” to continue.
- How Do I add notes to my order?
- To input notes for specific substitution requests or to add additional comments please select the grocery cart in the top right corner of the screen.
- Scroll down and select “View Full List.”
- From the drop-down arrow, select your substitution preference and provide any additional instructions in the “Add Notes” section.
- How does Commissary CLICK2GO substitute out of stock items?
- You are able to make substitutions for all items or individual items in your order. You are also able to make specific substitution requests by adding notes to your order.
- We will substitute a like item in the closest size and price of the actual item ordered.
- If you do not approve of the substituted item, it can be deleted from your order at curbside.
- Most items sold in the commissary are available on CLICK2GO. If you know an item is sold in the store, but cannot find it on the website, ask for it in the comments box. And if that item is available, we will add it to you order.
- Does Commissary CLICK2GO accept coupons?
- Yes, digital coupons on the DeCA Rewards Card. Paper coupons are not accepted at this time.
- For Rewards Card coupons to be applied to your order please clip the coupon before you add that desired item to your basket.
- Please add your Rewards Card number in the notes section
- How do I return an item?
- Per our return policy, returns must be handled inside the commissary at customer service.
- Can I use my personal reusable bags?

We carry many organic products throughout the Commissary. They are easily identified on store shelves by the small green signs displaying the organic seal of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). Find a wide variety of organic items ranging from organic milk, eggs, soups, yogurts, frozen veggies, cereals, frozen pizzas, enchiladas, shampoos, conditioners, and body lotions.

How long does it take a store to restock its shelves based on product availability?
Stores can restock overnight if the products are available in the CDCs and state-side storage facilities. We are monitoring our items sales daily and fully prepared to ship product if quantities run low prior to the next scheduled shipment.
How is the Commissary addressing replenishing stock?
The commissary management assures patrons shelves will continue to be stocked and product availability will be maintained and secured. Deliveries have been increased to the store to ensure product availability, particularly on items that are in high demand. From a product availability standpoint, the commissary is continually working with industry suppliers and installation senior leadership to support the needs of the Fort Knox community.
