WHITING FIELD COMMISSARY CLICK2GO Curbside Delivery Service
Commissary CLICK2GO is our online ordering and curbside service, which offers the convenience of ordering your groceries online and having them ready for pickup at a time you select. Access this service anywhere you have internet access, including through your mobile device. Rewards Cards and Military Star Cards are accepted. The processing fee of $4.95 is currently waived.
Pick up hours: Monday - Friday: 1100 - 1800.

Expanded privilege - Starting Jan. 1, 2020, all service-connected disabled veterans, Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war and primary veteran caregivers will be eligible to shop at commissaries worldwide. For more information on this new program, go to www.militaryonesource.mil/expanding-access, or to determine eligibility, visit a local VA medical facility; call 1-877-222-VETS (8387), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., Eastern time or apply online at VA.gov.
Guest information - ID card scanning is in effect at all commissaries worldwide 100% ID check conducted at central checkouts. Visitors may accompany authorized patrons into the commissary; however, the installation commander has the authority to restrict visitors from entering installation facilities. Only authorized patrons are allowed to make purchases. When you present your ID card at the register, the cashier must conduct a visual verification to confirm that you are the cardholder by looking at the photograph on your card. In addition, DoD instruction 1330.17 grants installation commanders the discretion to institute 100% ID checks at commissary entrances for security purposes. Because these are separate requirements, your card must be shown and scanned at the register, even if it was also shown at the entrance; we regret any inconvenience this may cause you.

Commissaries, AAFES partner to sell each other’s gift cards
The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) and the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) began selling their respective gift cards in both commissaries and exchanges on June 22. Commissaries will now have reciprocal agreements with AAFES and the Navy Exchange Command (NEXCOM) for gift card sales. DeCA began their partnership with the Navy in May 2018. Both organizations’ gift cards are open value: AAFES cards sold in commissaries are available in denominations from $5 to $1,500, and commissary cards sold in exchanges are available in amounts from $5 to $300. Authorized customers must still redeem the gift cards at their respective store or online.

1.Protective Services Civilian Employees; an individual employed as a protective services civilian employee at a military installation may be permitted to purchase food and hygiene items at a commissary store located on that military installation.
2. These positions included: Security Administration (GS-0080), Fire Protection and Prevention (GS-0081), Police (GS-0083), Security Guard (GS-0085),
Emergency Management (GS-0089)
3. Only the individual employee has shopping privileges, not dependents and/or family members.
4. There are no other unique limitations on when they shop or what they buy other than alcohol / tobacco products.
Starting Jan. 1, 2020 all service-connected disabled veterans, Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war and primary veteran caregivers will be eligible to shop at commissaries worldwide. Guest Rules
Guest information - ID card scanning is in effect at all commissaries worldwide 100% ID check conducted at central checkouts. Visitors may accompany authorized patrons into the commissary; however, the installation commander has the authority to restrict visitors from entering installation facilities. Only authorized patrons are allowed to make purchases. When you present your ID card at the register, the cashier must conduct visual verification to confirm that you are the cardholder by looking at the photograph on your card. In addition, DoD Instruction 1330.17 grants installation commanders the discretion to institute 100% ID checks at commissary entrances for security purposes. Because these are separate requirements, your card must be shown and scanned at the register, even if it was also shown at the entrance; we regret any inconvenience this may cause you.

Commissaries to continue operating during potential lapse in appropriation
All military commissaries will continue to operate worldwide for a limited amount of time during a potential lapse in appropriation, the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) announced. In the event of a lapse in appropriation, DeCA has the authority to operate commissaries worldwide through the end of March, using its Defense Working Capital Funds (DWCF). Commissary employees would continue to work and are not subject to furlough during this time frame. DeCA’s operating status could change depending on the length of a lapse in appropriation. The agency will always provide updated store information on its website, Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter) as necessary.

Commissary CLICK2GO® on the GO! grocery delivery rolls out to 70 stateside stores: Commissary CLICK2GO® on the GO! delivery has transitioned from pilot to deployment as the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) rolls out the service to 70 stores, providing additional benefits to service members, their families, and eligible civilians and veterans. In the first phase of deployment, DeCA expanded delivery to 62 stores, which joined the eight commissaries that were part of the original pilot that began in 2022. DeCA’s doorstep delivery contract includes the capability for expanding the service to its remaining 108 CONUS stores.

'PRICING PRACTICES' AT THE McCHORD COMMISSARY:
The Commissary is an Appropriated Funds facility; it is a not-for-profit entity unlike retailers outside the gate or even the BX. Goods are procured and purchased by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) with DOD Appropriated Funds for resale to patrons.
While our customers can be assured that they are provided with the best overall prices in their shopping trips to our commissaries, when it comes to individual items each retailer may have a different cost from their suppliers. If we find that our cost does not allow us to be priced as competitively as we should be, or provide the savings we are committed to provide, our category teams will work diligently with our suppliers to negotiate the best cost possible. This might include running great promotions with deeply discounted prices. However, from time to time we may need to be priced slightly higher than a commercial store. At DeCA we are committed to provide the best overall savings to our customers that we can!
Patrons purchase products at cost + surcharge. Price changes are processed twice a month, on the 1st and 16th of each month. Surcharge is applied to the total value of each commissary purchase because the Congress has mandated collection of surcharge (currently 5 percent) to pay for commissary construction, equipment and maintenance. All surcharge dollars collected are returned to commissary patrons in the form of continually improved commissary facilities. The amount of surcharge applied to a commissary sale transaction is shown as "SCG" on your sales receipt.
