100-percent ID card check at all commissary entrances, this includes disabled veterans with Veteran Health Identification (VHIC) cards and DoD Civilians.
To help prevent spread of germs, cashiers will not handle patron ID cards. Patrons will be asked to scan their own ID card. Cashiers can use the handheld scanner if available.

The DoD, VA and the Department of Homeland Security are collaborating to implement the Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act of 2018 for those who will be eligible for this benefit on Jan. 1, 2020.
DoD is required to charge a small fee to new users who are eligible solely under the Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act of 2018, to cover any increase in costs to the U.S. Treasury for processing commercial credit and debit cards.

Effective immediately, WIC (Women, Infants, Children) Program is now being accepted.
Veteran Shopping
On January 1, 2020 all eligible service-connected disabled veterans, Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war, and primary veteran caregivers will be eligible to shop at the commissary. USAFA has been selected to participate in a 7-Day-A-Week Test Program. We will be open on Mondays from 0900 to 1400 with limited operations. Self-Check Out registers and in line registers will be available to check out our patrons. The Deli / Bakery will also be open from 0900-1400.

COMMISSARIES TO REMAIN OPEN DURING A POTENTIAL LAPSE IN APPROPRIATION. Military commissaries will remain open worldwide for a limited amount of time during a potential lapse in appropriation. In the event of a lapse in appropriation, commissaries will continue full operation of commissaries for a period of up to 60 days or until all DeCA defense working capital funds are exhausted.
DeCA has lifted the restrictions for reusable bags. You can now use reusable bags. Meat Power boxes are available for purchase.
Stop by our Deli Department and take advantage of the Deli sandwiches, and the Sushi department.
DeCA is hiring for the following positions: Store workers, and Sales Store Checkers. Apply through USA Jobs.
Starting 1 October 2024, DeCA will no longer provide paper or plastic bags for bagging. We will have reusable bags to purchase for your groceries.
