Existing and new MIITARY STAR card holders can take advantage of this limited-time offer designed to help provide some financial relief during the ongoing lapse in government appropriations, according to an Army & Air Force news release distributed today.

On Oct. 13, the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) salutes the U.S. Navy on the 250th anniversary of its establishment by the Continental Congress in 1775. “My service in the Navy and my usage of the commissary benefit have gone hand in hand,” said Navy Command Master Chief Mario Rivers, the senior enlisted advisor to the DeCA director. “As a sailor, I’m proud to acknowledge the Navy’s legacy of service on their 250th anniversary, and as DeCA’s senior enlisted advisor, I’m here to say how the agency celebrates our sailors and their families every day by delivering the commissary benefit they’ve earned.”

Eligible patrons now can use their MILITARY STAR card through Nov. 30 to make interest-free commissary purchases with no payments for three months. The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) announced the November extension in a news release distributed today. AAFES originally announced this promotion Oct. 6 for purchases made through the end of October.
