August means "Back to School" savings at commissaries and the return of the popular Customer Appreciation Case Lot Sales in the U.S. The savings result from DeCA's industry partners who collaborate to offer discounts beyond everyday savings.

Shoppers in South Korea will see uncooked poultry from the U.S. returning to shelves in August. The news comes from changes to South Korea's poultry embargo that restricted the entry of uncooked poultry from the U.S. nearly nonstop since 2014. 

Seven hundred students from military families each received a $2,000 scholarship this year thanks to the 2016 Scholarships for Military Children program. Planning for next year’s program begins soon.
