DeCA celebrates PSRW
Public Service Recognition Week, which takes place May 3-9, has been celebrated during the first week of May since 1985. The week acknowledges the hard work and dedicated service of government employees across the country. For many, it’s more than a job; it’s a calling, a drive to serve and a way to give back to our nation - 36 years of honoring public servants and connecting citizens with their government.
At DeCA, we serve our patrons worldwide working each day to provide the commissary benefit to our military customers. This year, more than ever, your efforts, dedication to service and PASSION in what you do is much appreciated. Whether it’s managing the logistics of ensuring the supply chain is moving efficiently, operating a cash register quickly and efficiently, checking shelves to make sure products are stocked properly, inspecting produce to ensure top quality will be displayed or preparing a cut of meat requested by a customer for a special occasion – all that you do is greatly appreciated.
During this Public Service Recognition Week, take time to thank colleagues and teammates working alongside you for their service to DeCA and our nation.
